Administrative Assistant

         Administrative Assistant is a person whose work consists of supporting management, including executives, using a variety of project management, communication, or organizational skills, such as the typing out of letters, maintaining files of paper documents, managing budgets and doing bookkeeping, attending telephone calls, handling visitors, maintaining websites etc. Administrative Assistant often find themselves wearing many hats and juggling tasks, such as office managers, event planners, operations managers, accountants and even maintenance workers. They use computers for various applications, such as database management or word processing.  Administrative assistant use a lot of different  software her are some they use, Accounting software, Database software, Email software, Web browser software and Word processing software — Microsoft Word.

       The person I interviewed is Christi Carpenter she is an Administrative assistant at Phoenix Services Corporation -there mission is to empower people with brain injuries and similar disabilities....to maximize their potential...and achieve personal goals.

       She does many things for her company like, scheduling and coordinating meetings, interviews, events and other similar activities, sending out and receiving mail and packages, and managing files, address all employees concerns, resolving day-to-day administrative and operational problems, prepare and distribute payroll for staff, and  all day-to-day operation matters. She is always on the computer scheduling staff, making sure there patients are cared for properly. She uses Exel, google and accounting software.

      The software her company has her use is an online software called Therap. Therap is a Software for Developmental Disability Providers, it is the national leader of secure, web-based documentation, communication and electronic billing services supporting over 270,000 individuals in 1400 intellectual disability and long term care service providers across 49 states.
